Vocational Training

Working Hard: A Philosophy

At Fountainview Academy, we believe that true preparation for life goes beyond the classroom. Students need practical skills and hands-on experience to thrive in the real world. Our Vocational Program ensures they leave high school with more than just theoretical knowledge—they leave with the skills to succeed.

Every week, students spend 15-17 hours in work training, part of our Career and Technical Development initiative. With up to 500 hours of practical work completed each year, students gain valuable experience that’s documented through a Career and Technical Development Certificate.

We focus on more than just tasks—students learn how to grow from mistakes and develop skills that employers value. By the time they graduate, they’re equipped to step into the workforce or pursue further opportunities with confidence. Each assignment, thoughtfully given by our work coordinator, prepares them for life beyond Fountainview.
