“One hundred years after the Second Great Awakening, two hundred years after the First, five hundred years after the Reformation—Why are we still here? Let’s not make Him wait much longer. I want to go home.” Sean Nebblett was our Week of Prayer speaker this spring. We were all moved by the messages he presented to us each day. We could see that he lives what he preaches and that he has a strong relationship with God. He shared many different things with us and explained things in a way that anyone could understand. We were challenged throughout the week and reminded of the importance of having God in our lives daily.
Sean is such a sincere, yet outgoing guy with a big sense of humour. During lunches he would play volleyball with us and was always open when we needed to talk. He even visited our dorms one evening for Q & A time. On Saturday afternoon we had some personal sharing time and a communion service which was followed by a wonderful Agape Supper. As the evening drew to a close it was hard to say goodbye to Sean, but we have the hope of all being reunited again in heaven. “But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:13)
