A crisp breeze pierced through the air. Mellow morning sunlight scattered amidst the trees onto the barren ski slope ahead of us. Sounds of snow cats grooming the runs echoed faintly down the mountainside of Mt. Timothy Ski Resort. The day all of us had been anticipating had finally arrived! The cold, freshly-groomed snow warmly beckoned as we all streamed into the quaint day lodge to get our tickets. After having school on a Sunday and then getting up at 4 a.m. to make the 3.5 hour drive, everything seemed to be paying off. And with that, the fun began. From the beginners on the bunny hill to the advanced snowboards and avid skiers, gravity did its work on each of us—some seeming to fly down the hill, and some falling a little more than others. Before we knew it, the wonderful day spent with friends was beginning to end. As the rays of sunset glistened in our eyes, our sore muscles, popcorn stuffed faces, and light hearts told the story of the wonderful day we experienced. And to top it all off, there were no major injuries.
