"Making Music for Eternity" February 6 – 12, 2018

Come experience a Music Masterclass at Fountainview Academy! Receive specialized instrumental or vocal training by professional instructors. Participate in the exciting process of making a Christ-centered music video with Fountainview Academy Orchestra and Singers, from practice to audio recording to filming on location. Take part in fun group activities, Fountainview worships, and have a great time with new friends.

Registration & Fees

Participant registration includes:

  • All meals and lodging
  • Professional music instruction
  • Recording and filming experience
  • Travel to filming location

A confirmation of the registration will be sent via email, once your payment has been received. Due to limited space available, we advise early registration. 

Masterclass participant fees:

  • Early bird (before Nov. 15, 2017)                       $295.00 CAD*
  • Regular (from Nov. 16 to Dec. 31, 2017)           $325.00 CAD*
  • Add-on late fee (after Jan. 1, 2017)                    $360.00 CAD*

*Registration fees include a $30.00 CAD non-refundable deposit.

Accompanying Parent(s) Fee (covers meals, lodging): $160 CAD

Accompanying Younger Sibling (non-participant) Fee (Covers meals, lodging with parent) : $90 CAD.
Free for children 0-3 years old

Seattle or Abbotsford Airport Transportation (optional): $50 CAD / per person

(Free for children 0-3 years old)


Travel Instructions

Seattle, WA SEATAC (SEA) Airport

Arrival: Please plan to arrive at SEATAC Airport on Tuesday Feb. 6, 2018 by 12pm (noon). Supper will be provided on the bus.

Departure: Please book your departing flight out of SEATAC Airport on Monday Feb. 12, 2018 after 11 am. Breakfast will be provided on the bus.

Abbotsford, BC (YXX) Airport

Arrival: Please plan to arrive at Abbotsford Airport on Tuesday Feb. 6, 2018 by 3pm. Supper will be provided on the bus.

Departure: Please book your departing flight out of Abbotsford Airport on Monday Feb. 12, 2018 after 8 am. Breakfast will be provided on the bus.

Driving to Fountainview

Please plan to arrive at Fountainview Academy on Tuesday Feb. 6, 2018 by 6 pm.

The following forms must be filled out and submitted for each student participant:

Any non-Canadian resident minor child travelling to Canada (1) with just one of their parents/guardians; (2) accompanied by a non-parent/guardian adult; or (3) alone, must fill out the following form and submit it to Fountainview as well as send it with the minor to show at the USA/Canadian border:

What to Bring

  • Uniform

For filming we will keep it very simple.

Girls are to bring:

  • Long black skirt
  • Black or dark grey coat – no ski jackets (Fountainview will provide a dark red scarf)
  • Shirt/top that will not clash with the dark red scarf. Darker colours will be better. Turtlenecks are okay.
  • Black shoes or dress boots (no snow boots)

Boys are to bring:

  • Black dress pants (no jeans)
  • Blue jean shirt (can be dark or light blue)
  • Black or dark grey pea coat – no ski jackets
  • Black shoes or boots


  • Instrument (optional if vocalist)
  • Passports for everyone travelling
  • Birth Certificates for minors
  • Warm clothing and winter shoes
  • Insurance to cover you in Canada if a non-Canadian resident


Q. Are younger siblings of participants able to attend the events?

A. Yes. Younger siblings of the participants are welcome to be on campus, as long as they are under parental care. They may join non- musical activities, provided that they are not a distraction. (space is limited)

Q. Can non-participant guests play along with the orchestra?

A. During the masterclass, recording and filming, non-participants may not play along with the orchestra. However, they may join the orchestra during the song service Sabbath morning.

Q. Can accompanying adults and sibling attend the filming?

A. Yes. The registration fee includes transportation to the filming location for everyone. Accompanying adults and sibling are welcome to come along and watch the filming process.
