Registrar/Office Manager

Fountainview Academy is currently accepting applications for the position of Registrar/Office Manager.

Entry Qualifications:

  • High-level organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and preferably Access as well
  • At least 1-3 years’ administrative experience

Music Program Head

Fountainview Academy is currently accepting applications for the position of Music Program Head.  The successful candidate will continue to build on our spiritually strong and innovative music program.  The duties include continuing to develop/maintain a music program that emphasizes quality spiritual music and is effective in training our students in using their talents for service, whether that be at home or abroad.

Core Duties:

  • Provide spiritual leadership for our students in the music program (e.g. teach the value and importance of good music choices and the appreciation of sacred music)
  • Continue to develop both the performance skill of our students and the evangelistic value of our musical performances and outreach opportunities
  • Coordinate music lessons and training for the choir and orchestra
  • Work with our team to develop an outstanding evangelistic “package” wherever Fountainview Academy travels and performs

Skill Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience working as an orchestra and/or choir director
  • Experience in music composition is a definite asset
  • The ability to manage and organize a team of workers to accomplish time-sensitive objectives
  • Ability to work in a supportive team environment

Associate Girl's Dean

The Associate Dean is a management position and is responsible to lead and mentor, in coordination with the Head Dean, the task-force assistant deans and students, providing consistent and effective management as a caring role model for staff, students and parents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in development and implementation of Dorm Activity Schedule
  • Daily worship services
  • Social activities
  • Dorm council
  • Staff work schedule

Farm Manager

Fountainview Academy is currently accepting applications for the position of Farm Manager. The person would oversee operations and continued development and growth of our organic farm.

Responsibilities will include:
• Manage overall operation of farm
• Supervise student farm participants
• Purchase machinery, seed, and other supplies
• Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings
• Determine amount and kinds of crops to be grown
• Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops
• Maintain financial and production records

Entry Qualifications
The farm manager candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to mentoring and training student workers. Should have an excellent knowledge of farm/crop management. Proficiency in MS Office would be a valuable asset. Must have a valid class 5 Drivers License (class 2 or 4 preferred).

Maintenance Assistant

Fountainview Academy is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Assistant. The position would begin summer 2018.

The assistant works with the maintenance manager to keep the campus and buildings in good upkeep. Tasks may include carpentry, renovations, general repairs, some mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, and a variety of other tasks, including supervising students.

The maintenance assistant candidate should have some maintenance experience and be a committed Seventh-day Adventist person who has a strong desire to support and take part in our vision to mentor and nurture young people in their walk with God.

Taskforce Girls' & Guys' Deans

Serve as a taskforce girls’ or boys’ dean for Fountainview Academy in beautiful British Columbia, Canada! Taskforce positions would begin summer 2018. Fountainview Academy is looking for committed Seventh-day Adventist men and women, who have a strong desire to mentor and nurture young people in their walk with God.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the team of deans to provide mentoring and spiritual encouragement to our students
  • Organizing and supervising spiritual and recreational activities
  • Preparing and presenting worship thoughts for the young people
  • Holding the students accountable in their daily lives

Benefits include:

  • Free accommodations (single-occupancy room in the dormitory)
  • Free cafeteria meals
  • $500 CAD per month stipend (increases for deans staying on for a second or third year)
  • 1 to 2 round trip flights from home base to Fountainview Academy per school year
  • Medical insurance in Canada and on school trips outside of Canada
  • Up to $1,500 CAD per school year for extended health care needs (dental, etc.)
  • GYC registration, accommodations, meals, and travel
