As we gathered in the chapel awaiting the commencement of the last Festival of Rejoicing of the year, we were greeted by the sights and sounds of smiling faces singing praises to God. The ring of the Phillipians 4:4 bell, the powerful words added to the melodies of beautiful songs, the uplifting atmosphere throughout—this is what Festival of Rejoicing is all about. But wait a minute, what keeps us from singing praises to God every single day, not just at a special event like this?

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”  (Phillipians 4:4 KJV)

“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” (1 Chronicles 16:23 NKJV)
