Girls’ Bonding

Girl’s Bonding Weekend. Exactly what it sounds like; a bonding experience for girls remembered throughout the year. Definitely the best ice-breaker I’ve ever heard of. Okay, let me break down for you what happened this year at Girl’s Bonding Weekend in poem-like form.

It all started and ended with the Girl’s deans
And their priceless, yet memorable weekend

We sat in chairs in a circle and running, chaos, and screaming would follow
A hilarious game of role play where glasses, funky outfits, and quirky remarks followed

Evening worships were filled lovely music—drawing us closer to God
Sabbath was serene as well as blessed
Powerful testimonies were told, hearts were moved

Not to mention the on-point food that was prepared for us each day

A Saturday night of laughter, games and a Pinterest-themed sleepover, courtesy of the seniors girls
Mattresses were thrown and lights were hung
Memories to be remembered and cherished

Notes of love and encouragement were written to each and every girl
Girls connected on new levels
Christ and happiness were the center

A Love Letter from our Father was written to us,
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you. Jeremiah 31:3

Boys’ Bonding

There is something about nature that we all love. Is it the special time we spend with God, or just a get away from the stresses of life and school. I think it’s both; us guys on bonding weekend felt the peace of having no home work, and a true connection with God. It was a time for us to become better friends and get to know one another in a deeper way. The activities were fun and taught us life lessons like trust, patience, teamwork, and faith.

As for me, I will be looking forward to each and every campout. My truest wish is that by God’s grace we will grow closer to Him, not only at campouts but every day.
