My fingers were feeling stiff after playing violin for four hours. I glanced up at the clock in anticipation as it churned closer and closer to break time. We had been practicing all morning, while Dr. Blaylock trained us individually and as a group. But by the end of the weekend, I’d gained a better knowledge of music, and now am able to give praise to God all the better and contribute with the rest of the orchestra. Dr. Thomas Blaylock came to Fountainview for the weekend to share his experience with singing and playing music. We put a lot of effort together into training, and it has been very rewarding. It took a load of our energy, but we all became better instruments in God’s hands, and though I was exhausted, every hour I spent practicing will make me better display God’s glory.
